Process Analysis and Optimization
Based upon the benchmarking of productivity results detailed process analyses are done on site at the production facilities. As a result of the process analyses necessary productivity improvement activities are summarized in action plans.
The implementation of improvement activities is done in close collaboration with the persons responsible for production and the production teams. Involving the local experts as well as integrating the teams into the change processes and improvement activities is a vital precondition for the success. At the same time, it is the practical implementation of our shared values in our daily work.
Focus on Practicability
In close cooperation with the production teams workshops for evaluation of potentials for the reduction of set-up time are conducted at their production line. The necessary actions for a sustainable improvement of results are worked out and practiced together. Beside theoretical trainings to improve methodological competency, big emphasis is paid to the practicability of activities in the production. Furthermore, tests for new printing inks, for instance, are organized at the sites and are actively followed through until successful implementation. The same applies for rollout of “Best Practices”, improvement and standardization projects.

Improving the Methodological Competency
The permanent improvement of our employees' qualifications and methodological competency in terms of the application of systematic problem solving techniques is an integral part of the World Class Production Program. Besides these tools, the methods from Six Sigma are applied for improvement of more complex tasks. The sustainability of implemented measures is ensured via upfront definition of success criteria and the control of improvements in results.
