Stretch Hoods and Films

NORDENIA has developed the heavy-duty power stretch hoods for use under humid climatic conditions.

In the area of transport and pallet safety, NORDENIA, with its power stretch hood, is counted among the trendsetters thanks to continuous development, sophisticated raw material combinations, and extensive experience.

During the production of the power stretch hood, a sleeve is formed, the circumference of which is considerably smaller than the pallet unit to be secured. The sleeve is stretched up to 150 percent on hood stretching machines and pulled over the package commodity. The film's retention forces provide for optimum transport safety, even if the commodities are partially removed from the packaged pallet. Since an open flame is not required during the packaging process, the risk of fire is reduced. Energy costs are thus comparatively low. The main focus of NORDENIA's activities in this area is Asia.
